About The Artist

Veronica "Vern" Blazewicz was born and raised in Paramus, NJ. She attended college at Rutgers University, where she graduated with a BS in Animal Science/Preveterinary Medicine. She also graduated from the State University of New York with an AAS in Veterinary Technology. Upon graduation, she worked as an Emergency Veterinary Technician for about two years in New Jersey. Upon a visit to some college friends in Boulder, CO, Veronica was so taken by the mountains and everything Colorado had to offer that a month later she packed up everything she could in her little Jeep Wrangler and drove to Colorado to start a new life there.

Once again, she went back to being a vet tech, doing both ER and routine veterinary work. She did this for about 8 more years before getting married and starting a family. After the birth of her daughter, Alison, in 2001 she wanted very much to be able to stay home with her so nervously, she took a chance and started offering her artwork online. She wasn't sure if it was even good enough to sell, but she had to try. Well, three children and hundreds of paintings later, she continues to enjoy life at her Colorado home raising her family and selling her artwork. When you buy one of her originals or prints, you can be sure you are supporting a living, breathing, self-representing artist, and each and every one of you are truely and greatly appreciated!
